David Kidney
David has worked across law, politics, public health, and now health tech - always focused on leading change and making things happen. As MP for Stafford and later Minister for Energy & Climate Change, he helped shape the UK’s Climate Change Bill, led preparations for the Copenhagen Conference, and rolled out initiatives like the first boiler scrappage scheme and 2 millionth home energy upgrade. Before that, David was a law firm partner and later led the UK Public Health Register. Having recently completed five years’ leadership of the West Midlands Health Technologies Cluster, David is now looking for new ways to help grow the region’s health, wealth and wellbeing and championing innovation, equity, and inclusion along the way.
